
Lili Mei is a senior country risk analyst at Export Development Canada (EDC), with more than eight years of experience analyzing geopolitical and economic factors that drive sovereign risks. She conducts comprehensive country and sector assessments and forecasts macro trends in regions, including Europe, Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa. Mei's expertise spans a wide range of international markets such as Germany, France, Türkiye, Japan, Mongolia, South Africa and Kenya. Her current focus is on Nordic, Central and Eastern European region, as well as Türkiye.
Prior to joining EDC, she managed programs and conducted research related to international trade at Statistics Canada. She holds a master of arts in economics from Carleton University and a bachelor of arts in economics from the University of British Columbia. She speaks three languages: English, Mandarin Chinese and French.
