Gwladys is a seasoned professional who brings 10 years of extensive expertise in international relations, trade, and finance. Throughout her career, she has excelled in roles requiring deep knowledge of international business practices and strategic partnerships.
For the past four years at Export Development Canada (EDC), Gwladys has made significant contributions across multiple teams. She began in global trade, working closely with Canadian companies in advanced technology, agri-food, and mining sectors, helping them expand internationally through EDC's business connection program. Now, as an EDC advisor on the international and ECA relations team, she builds strategic partnerships with peer Export Credit Agencies and international forums.
Prior to EDC, Gwladys held positions at the Bank of Montreal in Toronto's wealth management division and served in various capacities at the African Export-Import Bank. Her responsibilities included transaction screening, due diligence, relationship building with international institutions and governments, and developing innovative business strategies and products.
Building on her commitment to leadership, Gwladys now serves as the Black Employee Resource Group (BERG) 's co-chair, having previously led BERG's events team.
