Claudia Maria Sevillano Vélez is Export Development Canada (EDC)’s Regional Manager for the Indo Pacific region, based in Ottawa. In this role, she supports EDC’s business development strategies in international markets, facilitating transactions and providing strategic market intelligence to Canadian companies.

Since joining EDC in 2017, Claudia has excelled in various roles across the Credit Insurance, Matchmaking, and Global Trade teams. Her diverse experience has equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of global trade dynamics and client needs.

Claudia holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Ivey Business School at Western University and a Bachelor of Commerce in International Management from the University of Ottawa.

Fluent in Spanish, French, and English, Claudia effectively navigates and manages diverse international markets. Her dedication to fostering inclusive environments was recognized with EDC's Diversity & Inclusion Ambassador Award in 2019.
