Carley Mortimer is a Certified International Trade Professional (CITP). She joined Export Development Canada (EDC) in 2021 and is a senior knowledge product manager on the Knowledge Business team.

Mortimer graduated from Carleton University with a bachelor of commerce in international business in 2012 and completed an exchange in Rome, Italy. She’s worked and gained extensive experience in international trade over the past 10 years, working in a variety of government organizations supporting both B2B and B2C exporters. They included the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada (DFAIT) in Ottawa and Rome, UK Trade & Investment at the British Consulate General in Toronto, as well as Canada Post in international customs management, before moving into product management and development.

She also obtained her Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) designation while employed at Canada Post and is currently working towards the Certified Trade Compliance Specialist (CTCS) designation.
