Carl Burlock was Executive Vice-President and Special Advisor from June to December 2025. Prior to this, he was EDC’s Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer.
As COO, he was responsible for strategic execution, customer experience, transformation, technology and business enablement, corporate governance, and ESG advisory.
Carl began his career with EDC in 1997. Over the years, he worked in a number of customer-facing areas and took on executive leadership roles including Senior Vice President Financing and Investments in 2014, and, in 2019, Executive Vice-President and Chief Business Officer where he was responsible for all customer segments, business lines and business enablement functions. He was named Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer in 2023.
