Bryan Watson has served as Managing Director of CleanTech North since 2012, leading the firm’s work supporting clients in the adoption, financing, and deployment of clean technology solutions, and currently advising a global multi-billion-dollar hedge fund investing in Canada.
Mr. Watson is a Founding Director of the Ontario Clean Technology Industry Association. Widely regarded as a pillar of the Canadian cleantech sector, Mr. Watson was honoured with a 2021 Clean50 Award and a 2025 Clean50 Top Project Award for his leadership in forming CPA Canada's Green Tech Working Group in 2023, facilitating key discussions with the CRA, Natural Resources Canada, and the Department of Finance on the Canadian Clean Economy Tax Credits.
Mr. Watson has held leadership roles across Canada's innovation and investment ecosystems, including Senior Vice-President of Easly (formerly Venbridge), Partner at Flow Ventures, and Executive Director of NACO Canada and Angel Investors Ontario. He has served on several boards, including Enthusiast Gaming (TSE: EGLX), advised growth companies, and sits as an expert and reviewer for many federal and provincial organizations.
Mr. Watson holds a Master's from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland, where he was Canada's sole British Council Chevening Scholar.
